Traveling with young kids is one of the best, yet most challenging things a family can do. Mainly for the reason that kids aren’t as impressed with hotels and destinations as us big people are. After showing my kids photos of our newest place to stay, The Breakers Palm Beach Resort, the only thing they wanted to look at over and over again was the Beach Club and pool area.

You should also visit the Breakers restaurant, an Italian experience you shouldn’t miss!

So of course when we set out on our trip, I wanted to make sure we had plenty of fun time at the Beach Club.

After doing a lot of research, I realized that you can head over to the Beach Club and chill out on the zero gravity lounge chairs, or you can get the full-on experience by renting a private beach bungalow. This way it allows my family total privacy and comfort with bathrooms, showers, couches and a place to unwind.

Oceanfront pools – what’s a beach club with the pools.

I loved the way they split the pool areas up. The main resort pool area which is great for all ages.

An adult pool – I maybe traveling with my kids, but I also know when I travel alone with my hubby I love to be in no-kid zones. What’s a vacation away from kids, when you are surrounded by other kids. I love this idea.

The family area – of course I love this one even more, especially because my little ‘angels’ are with me. And the pool is perfect for very young kids.

And at the very end the pool area is more for families with older kids. Even though anyone can enjoy it as well.

NOTE: You can request to have your bungalow at any of these areas. We had ours right in front of the kids pool. 

Aside from the pools, there is plenty of room for kids to run around. They have activities for kids and families.

And of course, the beach. Which is gorgeous. When we were there it was way too cold for a beach swim.

Benefits of Renting The Breakers bungalows

Aside from having our own private lounge area with a living room and a place to have lunch. We had wifi, flat screen TV (which we gratefully didn’t use), phones, a safe, a bathroom with showers, and a patio area.

But the best part was having our own private waiter. Playing in the pool all day can build up a great hunger.

Our area had the Ocean Grill restaurant, which is perfect for a kid’s and adult’s lunch.

Lunch hit the spot! Plus, having the living room was a good place to digest and chill out, rather than be on commune lounge chairs. It was also a good way for us to keep the kids from jumping into the pool right after eating, with a high chance of vomiting into the pool (which is not an old wives tale – at least not with my children).

Ocean Grill isn’t only hot dogs and burgers. I got the special of the day which was a Lobster Club Sandwich and I could swear there was more than two pounds of lobster in it.

Information for Visiting The Beach Club and Renting a Bungalow

Entry to the Beach Club is included in the price of your stay with the hotel. However, if you want to have friends or family join you, it’s $30 per person for the day.

Definitely reserve a bungalow. They only have 25 altogether and they go quick.

The prices vary:

Summer rates from 9-5 pm – $209 – $999

Winter rates from 9-5 pm –  $300 – $1,899
