What is the Sinister Steve Halloween decoration?
Standing at 4.5 feet tall, this is one handyman you do not want to hire. Sinister Steve is a new animated Halloween decoration, which means you can expect his head to move from side to side and his arms to flail up and down when he’s activated via a motion sensor. Better yet, his eyes glow from bright LED lights, and he tells (very bad) home-improvement jokes in a creepy, high-pitched voice. Don’t worry, you don’t have to fake a chuckle, because he laughs at his own jokes.
Sinister Steve has wrinkles, untamed orange hair, yellow teeth, white and red clown makeup and a splattered costume (probably from all the crappy work he was doing on your home). To complete his handyman ensemble, he has a tool belt where he carries his hammer, screwdriver and ruler.
How to Set Up the Sinister Steve Halloween Decoration
The Home Depot—which is known for its over-the-top Halloween decorations like the viral 12-foot skeleton and new 13-foot Jack Skellington—says it should take just 20 minutes to take Sinister Steve from box to lawn. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to put an unfinished home project right next to him to add to the Mr. Fix It vibe. It’s recommended to set up this piece indoors or in a covered outdoor area. At just over 10 pounds, it won’t be difficult to move him around if you decide to bring him indoors for a Halloween party and outdoors again on October 31.
